Dr Jenny Kabir BDS DPDS Dip con sed (Bristol)

Dr Kabir has an established reputation within the dental industry and amongst her own patients. Dr Kabir grew up in York, and after qualifying in dentistry ran a successful dental practice in Manchester. She then returned to her hometown of York to launch the Fresh Smiles Clinic. The clinic was opened with the vision of providing unparalleled patient and the latest, highest quality dentistry available today.

Dr Kabir has developed a passion for outstanding work in both cosmetic and general dentistry. Apart from caring for the teeth of the general public, Dr Kabir has treated a number of high profile patients including celebrities, singers, models and sports professionals. Dr Kabir was also selected to be one of the dentists for the Manchester 2001 commonwealth games in taking care of the dental health of international athletes.

The passion Dr Kabir holds for her dentistry work has led her to pursue further postgraduate qualifications and diplomas. She was one of the youngest dentists to be awarded the DPDS from Bristol University, as well as completing a 2 year long postgraduate course in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry with the internationally renowned dentist, Dr Paul Tipton. In addition to the above, Dr Kabir continually keeps abreast of the latest developments by attending leading international programs, courses and lectures in the field of Dentistry. Dr Kabir also dedicates her time to teaching dentistry to other dentists and is proud to have her research published in the British Dental Journal.

In addition to carrying out treatment at Fresh Smiles she also treats patients referred from other dentists all over the U.K. at the Academy of Clinical Excellence in Wakefield.

Outside of work Dr Kabir enjoys spending time with her two young children and family, as well as eating out exploring different cuisines.

Dr Ibrahim Hussain BDS Msc

Ibrahim gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Sheffield University before completing his Vocational Training. After this, he worked purely in private practice, both for corporate & independents, concentrating on implant, microscope and aesthetic dentistry. Much of his post graduate education was done in the United States, with a particular interest in Implantology, cosmetic and microsurgical dentistry. He is an active member of The Association of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, for which he is undertaking the accreditation process. He has also received his Master of Medical Science Degree in Implantology from The University of Sheffield, under the guidance of Prof. Ian Brook, specifically in the area of Bone Grafting.

Ibrahim also set up the first web-based refferal service for C.T. scanning in dental practice. He was a founder member of the British Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Ibrahim represented his country in the World Amateur Boxing championships, a sport which he has participated in for many years before becoming a British A.B.A coach. He is now a ‘cuts’ specialist in the corner for professional boxers in his spare time.

Dr Dimitrios Mitsas DMD MClinDent Periodontology

Dr. Mitsas undertook 3 years of postgraduate training at the University of Sheffield where he gained a Master of Clinical Dentistry degree in periodontology. 

He is an active member of the British Society of Periodontology and he has a special interest in microsurgical techniques.  

Dr  Dimitrios Mitsas accepts periodontal referrals covering a wide range of treatments including:

• Non-surgical treatment of periodontitis
• Surgical management of the cases not responsive to initial non-surgical treatment such as;
• Open flap debridement
• Root resections/hemisections
• Guided tissue regeneration with autogenous bone, resorbable membranes and bone substitutes, and emdogain.
• Gingivectomy
• Crown lengthening of single or multiple teeth.
• Ovate pontic site development
• Connective tissue grafting

Dr Mitsas undertook a 3 year postgraduate training at the University of Sheffield, where he gained a master of clinical dentistry degree in periodontology.

He is an active member of the British society of periodontolgy and he has a special interest in microsurgical techniques. He is a lecturer at the prestigious Tipton training academies in Manchester, Leeds, Dublin and Greece. 

Dr David Winkler DDS Royal College of Copenhagen, Denmark

He is the founding president of the Scandinavian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, past-president of the European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and a founding member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He is a member of the International College of Prosthodontists and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He sits on the advisory board of the “Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry” and “Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry”. He also consults for various dental companies. He has been involved in dental implants since completing the Branemark implant training in 1987. He lectures internationally on general practice treatment modalities and materials, as well as being an editorial team member of the Reality Research Team. He has served as a clinical evaluator for CRA (Clinical Research Associates).

His areas of expertise include dental implants, advanced restorative dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, crowns and bridgework, bone and soft tissue grafting, tooth whitening, tooth-coloured fillings, general dentistry and dental materials

Laura Best RDN

Hi I am Laura, I have been nursing for four years and love it. I have been a part of Fresh dental smile clinic since opening day, I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of a great team. I have had good experience in all aspects of dentistry from routine dentistry to seeing many life changing smile transformations. Iam especially interested in implantology having assisted with many placements of dental implants and surgical procedures. I enjoy giving patient’s advice and making them feel at ease, but the best part of my job is seeing the patients smiling and happy at the end of their treatment. In my spare time I enjoy nights out with the girls and spending time with my family and partner.
